Murray Ridge CLOSED for the season. A message from the manager.

March 27th 2026

Greetings everyone,

The 2025/26 season at Murray Ridge has come to an end, and I would like to share some thoughts and express my gratitude for all the people that help to make this place so special. I  came into the my first year as GM with the intention to settle into my new position and focus on providing a solid experience for the ski and board community,  to promote and build the culture, and really try to help share with everyone why this place means so much to me and has had a hold on me for the last twenty years.

This winter ended up bringing us all kinds of ups and downs. We had our fair share of unpredictable and unseasonal weather. Many technical difficulties with everything from lifts, to snowcats, to internet outages and more. And although I had anticipated some learning curves and hiccups along the way, dealing with a changing climate, aging infrastructure and tight budgets was no small feat. We rounded out the season with 44 days open this year, each day felt hard fought against weather and breakdowns. We did have some incredible groomed conditions all season thanks to Jesse. Our grooming is an area we pride ourselves in, we hope you’ll agree its top tier.

This season would not have been possible without our incredible staff who always showed up and delivered, thankless volunteers who take time out of their busy lives to help get us up and  (keep us) running year after year, corporate sponsors that continue to support us, and a customer base who know skiing or snowboarding is good for the soul, and that they can find that connection between mind, body, and spirit here at the Ridge.

It was an absolute honor to be a part of the amazing history of this mountain, especially during the mountain's 50th year in service to the community. Built up by community, for community. This has always been the Murray Ridge way , and I take that mission to heart. I don’t think there is anywhere else you will see so many smiles in one day in the dead of winter. That alone makes it all worthwhile.

I would just like to thank everyone for making my first season as manager, and Murray Ridge’s 50th year in existence, memorable. Guests, staff, volunteers, sponsors and everyone else who comes together to keep this place going. I look forward to the season ahead.

Cheers, ski you next season!

Cody Willick, GM

Spring has sprung at Murray Ridge, the amount of rain that we received early this week, coupled with the very warm weather and wind, has made a whole lot of work to for us try and make the base area skiable for the weekend. I know we’re gearing up for the Slush Cup, but as it stands there is too much slush and ice for our liking or yours. So please stay posted and we’ll keep you updated for weekend operations.
