Holiday Opening Hours!

Here is our holiday opening schedule! Please note, there are some very cold days in the forecast so we may see a cold weather closure. Please check the daily conditions always before travelling up! Ski you tomorrow!

OPENING : December 20th 2025

We are beyond stoked to announce opening day is literally a day away! We had some high drama in the form of melted precipitation but winter is back with a vengeance with cold temps and steady snow falls. Lifts will run December 20th for the first day of our 50th Season.

IF you haven’t printed your season pass we urge you to visit us tomorrow in the day lodge to avoid a long wait on opening day.

Community Breaky : Jan 1st 2026

Mark your calendars: Start the New Year off right with a Community breaky @ the Ridge on New Year's Day! 10am-12am. Lifts run 1230-330 by Donation to the FSJ Food Bank (cash or non-perishable food items).

No discount on rentals.

Plus five, oh my! Opening Date News

Today Monday Dec 15th, we are currently sitting at +5C. This was not the cold snap and dump of snow we were promised! The mountain has been completely track packed and we are in a good spot once the snow eventually decides to fall.

As of this moment we don’t expect to be able to open on Dec 19th. Trust me, this is as hard to type as I’m sure it is to read. We will be making all efforts to open the lifts and our doors to the public at the earliest available date. We will continue to keep you updated and hope to see you sooner than later. Please stay tuned for announcements of other events and ways you can get outside with family and support the Ridge! Thank you!

And finally: if the skies deliver more than the projected forecast we absolutely will still open on Friday. Snow dance?

Dec 8th 2025

We were a little sad to see snow storms pummel the interior and just sneak around Fort St. James. We have our lifts, lodge and machines all ready to go, staff training will wrap up this weekend, and we remain hopeful for meet our opening date of Dec 19th! The forecast looks hopeful and track packing is underway in the upper mountain areas. Keep snow dancing and we will be seeing you soon!
